Exam Centers

The admission test for 2024-2025 will be held in the following regional centres: Dhaka, Rajshahi, Rangpur, Khulna, and Chattogram.

RU Admission Test Routine

The RU admission tests are scheduled from 12 April to 26 April 2025. After the application process, a detailed test routine will be released. The tests will be conducted in four shifts.

RU Admission Eligibility

Applicants who passed their HSC or equivalent exams in 2023 or 2024 are eligible to apply for any of the units. Eligibility for each unit depends on the student’s HSC academic stream.

A Unit

  • Minimum GPA in SSC: 3.00 (including the 4th subject)
  • Minimum GPA in HSC: 3.00 (including the 4th subject)
  • Total GPA: 7.00

B Unit

  • Minimum GPA in SSC: 3.00 (including the 4th subject)
  • Minimum GPA in HSC: 3.00 (including the 4th subject)
  • Total GPA: 7.00

C Unit

  • Minimum GPA in SSC: 3.50 (including the 4th subject)
  • Minimum GPA in HSC: 3.50 (including the 4th subject)
  • Total GPA: 8.00

Marks Distribution

The admission test for RU 2024-2025 introduces a new format. It consists of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and a written exam. To be eligible for the merit list, you must score a minimum of 40 out of 100.

  • Bangla: 35 marks (28 questions)
  • English: 35 marks (28 questions)
  • General Knowledge: 30 marks (24 questions)
  • Total: 100 marks (80 questions)

B Unit (Business Group)

  • Bangla: 15 marks
  • English: 25 marks
  • Business Organization & Management: 30 marks
  • Accounting: 30 marks
  • Total: 100 marks

B Unit (Non-Business Group)

  • Bangla: 15 marks
  • English: 25 marks
  • General Knowledge: 45 marks
  • ICT: 15 marks

C Unit (Science Group)

  • Physics: 25 questions (1.25 marks per question) - Total 31.25 marks

Seat Distribution

The total number of seats and quota-based seat distribution are as follows:

  • Indigenous Students: 50 seats (Maximum 2 per subject)
  • Physical Disabilities: 50 seats (Maximum 2 per subject)
  • Freedom Fighter: 5% of seats per subject
  • BKSP: 20% of seats in Physical Education and Science departments

RU Final Application Requirement

The selection results for the final application are based on HSC results. Candidates must meet the required GPA for each unit in order to proceed to the final application process.

The final application process has three phases. Selected students must complete their applications by the given deadline.

RU Admit Card & Seat Plan

Candidates must download their admit card and seat plan before the admission test. Without these, candidates will not be allowed to enter the exam venue.
